Company Outline
Gallie Miles is an established law firm with offices in both Te Awamutu and Otorohanga. They provide a range of legal services to the farming and commercial sectors. They currently employ 14 experienced staff across their two locations, which include Lawyers, Legal Executives, and support staff. In the years since legal practice was commenced by founding partners John Gallie and Linda Miles in 1992, the firm has built a reputation for the excellence of its legal services and for its professional integrity.
Problem
Partners at the law firm were made aware of problems within the business. They knew that the business had untapped potential which was not being utilised. They had developed many ideas with regards to trying to solve these problems themselves but had found that implementation of their ideas was an issue.
Solution
As a result, they consulted with Nick Harvey. Together, they addressed the concerns raised within the firm, and implemented a plan to rectify them. Nick emphasised the importance of accountability and helped to put systems and procedures in to place within the business which ensured that the plan be put into effect.
Outcome
Since the firm’s engagement with Nick in 2012, there have been significant changes to the way in which the business operates. They now boast a highly engaged team as well as a steadily growing client base. They have even made the transition to a ‘paperless’ office, and now work out of modern, open-plan offices. The past six years have also seen increases in turnover and net profit for the firm.
Summary
In the six years that Nick has been consulted by Gallie Miles, the Waikato-based law firm has gone from strength to strength. They have developed a close working relationship, and those working within the business continue to follow and build on the implemented procedures. They are happy with the fact that they are now operating at their potential, and have ambitious goals set for the future of the practice.
